Every year, at the beginning of the California legislative session, NAIFA-California members gather in Sacramento for our annual Legislative Day.
Join us this year for our 2023 Legislative Day on March 29, 2023! Our Legislative Day is a time for all NAIFA-California members to get involved with advocacy to protect our industry and clients.
The State Legislature makes decisions about the products and services you offer that may dramatically impact you and your clients. This year the California Department of Insurance and Senator Dodd have introduced what many consider the most onerous “Best Interest” legislation proposed in the United States (SB263)
Without your participation in the political process, they will be making these decisions in a vacuum. Make your voice heard at the California State Capitol this year.
Learn about current legislative affairs affecting the insurance industry and your business. Visit your state legislators and let them know how their decisions affect you and your clients!
Our annual Sales Summit will be held the day before, on Tuesday, March 28th. Non-members welcome! Check out our Sales Summit page for a full list of speakers, agenda, and to register now.
Book your room at our conference rate of $239 a night here. Deadline to book is March 11, 2023
Founded in 1890 as The National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), NAIFA is one of the nation’s oldest and largest associations representing the interests of insurance professionals from every Congressional district in the United States. NAIFA members assist consumers by focusing their practices on one or more of the following: life insurance and annuities, health insurance and employee benefits, multi-line, and financial advising and investments. NAIFA’s mission is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of its members.
NAIFA’s Advocacy Action Center provides the information and tools you need to become a politically active and involved financial professional. The Center has details on NAIFA’s grassroots relationships and political advocacy in each state. It also offers calls to action that make it easy to contact your legislators on specific issues important to your business and clients.
