Jake Block leads Redbrick LMD’s investor relations, capital formation and stakeholder engagement efforts in the Western region of the United States. He is an accomplished financial service professional with expertise in working with investors (institutional and individual) and corporate clients.
Prior to joining Redbrick, Jake was the Managing Principal of JBB Capital – a merchant banking advisory and venture capital firm – and an entrepreneur in residence at Plug and Play Ventures. Previously, he was a private banker and director in Deutsche Bank’s San Francisco office, primarily working with family offices, entrepreneurs and founders on various investing and lending needs. Prior to that, he worked for BNY Mellon as a senior business development officer. For seven years, he ran the European Equities business on the West Coast for Nomura Securities (formerly Lehman Brothers). He also was an Assistant Vice President of Acquisitions at Sovereign Investment Company, a division of Marcus & Millichap, where he purchased over $2 billion in commercial real estate. He began his career as an investment banker, primarily in technology, at Bank of America Securities, Credit Suisse and Schroders.
He is also a board member of various nonprofits whose core issues are improving opportunity, economic growth, education and equal opportunity.
Jake earned his MBA in finance from London Business School and a BA in economics from Vassar College. He also holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
